Gil Williams MBA AREI LREA JP

Founding Director & Principal Advisor

Gil Williams is a Land Economist and Licenced Property Consultant with over 35 years of experience in property. He began his career growing a successful estate agency Gil Williams & Co in Melbourne and Brisbane. During the nineties he also became involved in commercial developments in Queensland, but found his emerging role as an advisor the most satisfying.

He established a residential advisory in Melbourne before founding The Property Advisory, a business which allowed Gil greater use of his expertise in all property types for the benefit of his clients. Gil is dedicated to providing exceptional advice and services and has advised and acted in the interest of a range of clients, from individual and SMSF investors to multinational companies such as Rio Tinto, Caltex, AXA-National Mutual, and Comalco. Gil also applies his knowledge of the property market in his role as an analyst and speaker. Often quoted in the Financial Review as an authority on property investment, Gil is always up to date with current property market trends. He has written for The Eureka Report on the benefits of commercial syndicated property and he regularly holds seminars in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane.

Mark Tuckwell

General Manager

Mark started one of the first property investment advisory/ buying agent companies in Australia in 1982. The company, Money Managers Properties, which later became Metropolitan Property helped more than 3000 clients purchase and finance predominantly residential property in Melbourne.

His company was well known for arranging group purchases which led to his involvement in property syndications. He was an inaugural member of ADPIA the Australian syndicators association. Mark was regularly quoted in the media and on radio up until 2000 when he left Australia to pursue property investment opportunities in the UK and Africa. He has now returned home to Australia with a wealth of knowledge gained from his experiences particularly in structuring investments to build equity. x                                                                                                                         x xxx

Jeanne Swan

Property Manager

Jeanne is our Property Manager who works closely with our investors in both the early stages and in the ongoing management of our properties. Jeanne comes with extensive experience from a diverse business background. She has over 20 years of experience at a senior level in both the public and private sectors in client relationship management roles. Jeanne’s style is consultative and collaborative, with a focus on delivery of high service levels not only with our investors, but also our tenants as well as our trusted advisors and suppliers.  

Bill McHarg BEC FRICS FAPI FREI CPP

Director & Principal Advisor

Bill McHarg has been providing professional services in the Melbourne commercial property market for four decades. He is a Bachelor of Economics, a Property Valuer, Land Economist, and Licenced Estate Agent & Auctioneer. He has been primarily involved with commercial property investments, in particular with their conception, formulation, and development. In recent years he has been involved with the initiation of major development projects such as Grocon’s QV in Lonsdale Street Melbourne, Australand’s Freshwater Place on Southbank, and the refurbishment and further development of 459 Collins Street Melbourne. Bill was co-founder, Managing Director and later Chairman of Colliers International’s Victorian
businesses.

Additionally, he has been involved with major citysales including the $66m sale of the former Age head office in Spencer Street Melbourne, and in late 2009 he advised Barristers Chambers Ltd on the $54m acquisition of Owen Dixon Chambers West. Bill has also acted as an industry advocate for sustainable building, design, development, and management.

Phil Nyssen

Syndicate Consultant

Phil is a seasoned business consultant with a passion for quality property investments that deliver above average returns in a predictable and repeatable manner.

Phil has been leading and participating in property syndicates for over six years. He is an active and successful property investor himself, and provides our clients with detailed research for high quality residential development and commercial syndicates. A key role is that he ensures syndicates are setup
and managed to success. He engages partners for independent due diligence, investment vehicles, site and development finance, marketing and sales strategies, and oversees project developers/builders.

 

Cameron Williams
Marketing & Communications

Cameron is responsible for implementing and overseeing programs that allow for more effective and regular communication between our clients and The Property Advisory. Currently he is launching an online newsletter service to keep our clients updated on the property market and current investment opportunities, and he is implementing web-based technology which will enable syndicate clients to access reports online. Cameron also coordinates our property investment seminars in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane.
